LifeLink is the server of the Shimuras and Neptuneses. It was built as a system to protect them. It has the abillity, to take computing to live. So it even can bring energy to the lava- and snowhides. Or do other things.

Haruko Shimura was the originall programmer for it. And after his wife died, he fusioned her with the computer's OS.

Now, his old wife is the main-system of the whole server. She has still emotions and other things - but she can get viruses and needs to be protected like a computer.
