Kia was born to a human mother named Izumi who was the daughter of a wealthy lord. His father Yujiru Inuyatoshi was the great Lord of the South and a powerful Fox demon. When Kia was an infant his father was killed in battle trying to protect his only son and heir to the South Kingdom. Shortly at the age of five Kia's mother was killed leaving him to wander and survive alone as a halfbreed. Now Kia simply hangs around the bar playfully.
