Born in the twin cities of Zyouletessa, astride the Cape of Winds. The city of sails, the city astride the one safe route around the Cape of Winds. Born the third son of a stonemason, he was not expected to go into the family trade. Not after his brothers did so. He was free to make his own path in the world. This path first lead him down the road of a wandering ne're-do-well, but after one tahn fueled night that ended with him in the gutter, three people dead, and him banished from the city of Lescar... he had to find a new way.

His new way... becoming first a sworn, then a chosen man of the House of D'olbriot. That kept him alive and going for quite a few years. And in the pay of D'olbriot, he's amassed a fair amount of contacts and influence himself. Not to mention some knowledge of the workings of Artifice and Magic, though he'd really rather not deal much with it.
