As mentioned last week, video support has been brought in from Ychan. Supported container formats include MPEG, AVI, WMV, QuickTime (MOV) and Flash Video. At the same time we've added a separate audio section, which supports MP3, M4A, FLAC, OGG and WMA file types. Videos and MP3s are re-encoded to make them as efficient and easily accessible as possible, however the original files are retained and can be downloaded at one's pleasure. In the case of videos you may have the option of using your browser's default media player, which will stream the original file.

Audio clips and videos can be organised into albums and channels, respectively. Files are uploaded through your home page and can be managed in much the same fashion as images in our existing galleries.

The rules governing what may be published to these new sections is a departure from our traditional conventions; users may upload any content they have created or commissioned themselves whether or not it relates to furry. Where in the past YI has focused exclusively on furry we're beginning to focus more on furries themselves, and we'd like to hear your suggestions.
