Megaplex is a performing arts themed convention. The convention's goal, as stated in its mission, is to "provide for our membership a celebration of interactive arts and performance, with a primary focus on anthropomorphics and fantasy". In this regard, much of Megaplex's programming has focused on fursuiting, puppetry, improvisation, and other types of performance.
