The tall half-human kitsune sheathed his katana with with a slow grace as the men of the opposing army lay dying in the battlefield around him, their moans of agony and their whimpers of pain fading away as each life flickered and finally blew out, like candles in a strong wind. His bloodstained leather armor seemed to carry a dull sheen, even in the dim lighting of the fading twilight sun, so soaked was it with the lifeblood of his fallen enemies, and his own blood as well.
